Our work in large format robotic library storage arenas is extensive. The filesystem controlled large robotic tape and optical libraries able to handle millions of file nodes. The total storage capacity of some of the libraries exceeded several TB's, thus providing high scalability while offering reliability and fast access to files anywhere within the library.
The work on the C.O.W. filesystem was extensive and provided complete Copy on Write semantics without degrading performance. The filesystem was incorporated into a security solution which offered extreme protection from malicious attacks.
