KDCache is implemented as a filesystem filter driver and allows you to create a large, up to 2TB, cache file which is persistent across reboots. This cache file and its' configuration is administered through a simple, yet robust, application which allows you to:
Determine the optimal size for the cache file
Create where the cache file will reside
Lock particular files into the cache file
Configure access rights to the cache file
This cache file has been implemented to server the customer who has a slow response media and wishes to have faster access to a set of files commonly used by the personnel of their company.
